Anton Udalov

City Councillor Candidate, Richmond BC

I am an entrepreneur, finance professional, and first-generation immigrant who believes strong communities are built through common sense, personal responsibility, and opportunity. I came to Canada at 21 as an international student with one suitcase and have worked in transportation, automotive sales, and finance, gaining firsthand experience with the challenges and aspirations of working families, newcomers, and local businesses.

Originally raised in Siberia in a family that valued education, critical thinking, and lively discussion, I developed an early interest in history, languages, and literature before pursuing university studies in economics. My experiences across different industries and regions of North America have strengthened my appreciation for hard work, entrepreneurship, and the importance of practical solutions.

I am seeking the opportunity to serve as a Richmond City Councillor because I believe our city should remain safe, fiscally responsible, and welcoming to families, businesses, and future generations. I want to help ensure that Richmond continues to grow while preserving the quality of life that makes it one of Canada’s best places to live.

My mission

•  strengthen public safety and protect residents and businesses from crime
•  support responsible financial management and transparent local government
•  encourage economic growth while preserving Richmond’s strong sense of community and quality of life
